Our Custom Portraits

Now with Wedding invitations in the making and valentines day approaching I thought it would be great to remind everyone that I do custom portraits! They are available in my etsy shop and you can find out more about them here

Below I have printed some past orders and documented them to show them off a little. And if you are curious about the process I have a pervious blog post about working with one of my customers Caylee.

Knives of course must always make an appearance.

Have a great day lovlies :)

Happy Birthday!

January always seems to be the month of Birthdays! Which made me think about that I don't have too many Birthday illustrations, so I made some! I made several different looks just for fun, a pattern too! Enjoy!

And if it's your birthday, well Happy Birthday!

Life recently...

Life has been crazy the past two months! We have been selling our stuff all over the place! Fairs, boutiques, and our own pop up shop! We also have being getting many custom orders and we couldn't be more grateful. I just thought I would just show little snap shots of our adventures and the snowy midwest. :)

We were invited by the very nice and adorable Elisa to join her Finch's Holiday Boutique this year! It's a wonderful two day boutique that sells local artists work and raises money for the American Cancer Society. It was fantastic and I got a lot of my christmas shopping done there! Below are two pictures I got from the boutiques blog and were taken by the talented Erin Smith Photography.

And then, snowy midwest full of coffee, snow, and little details.

Winter Street Style - Katie & Stella

Today we have Katie Rausch for our winter street style! She is a talented fine artist and a wonderful teacher. This shoot was especially fun since she brought her German Shepard puppy Stella! She was so cute!

Every time we were done taking a certain picture Stella would run to me thinking my camera was a toy. So cute!

Thanks Katie & Stella!

My Holiday Decor

I LOVE the holidays. I just love the "cheeriness" of it all (even though I work in retail) and just the decorations is enough for me. So I decided to show you guys a little collection of my holiday decor this year! Besides my light pink christmas tree I seem to have mainly white, silver, and red things.

I end this series with a shot of each decoration to tell you a little more about them.
-The red beaded snowmen were given to me from my mother my freshman year at college.
-Silver things, tinsel, stars, and beaded snowflakes all are this year buys from dollar sections of stores! -And candy canes are essential in my house!
-The rocking horse ornament is from my fiance's mom, it's actually on display all year round. Sadly the cute girl one she got me broke during our last move.
-Paper snowflakes is something I love doing every year. I like having tons of them hanging from the ceiling.
-The ceramic squirrels are getting reused from thanksgiving, which were part of our table setting. They are currently available at target and are described as "beyond christmas" and I agree!
-The cute house lights are from Ikea! One of my favorites yet!

Thanks guys! Hope your holidays are going smoothly and lovely!

Working in the shop and how we print our fabric

Hello there! Every couple of months I try to go to the Wisconsin side of Something Nice Design and work at producing the products (Susan, my mom, does it by herself the rest of the time. She's so great!) Here are a couple of shots I took last time I was there.

Here is a wide view of the printing, sewing, and pressing area. Don't mind the lazy dog and the laundry room!

Prepped images ready to be pressed! (We use a sub dye printer)

Inventory taking place!

The beast! This guy gets all the work done! Our heat press.

Printing!

Finished product! Ready to be sewn into a scarf!

Have a great Sunday everyone!
