What I'm currently working on...

Working on a long overdue blog project for a friend of mine.  Center of Short Attention is a very witty blog about the change of becoming a mother, and sometimes the paranormal. Her posts are very amusing and I suggest you check it out!

I am working on designing my first tea towel! Coming soon! I am very excited!!! 

Also just finished making our logo into a stamp! We just need to order it and then we will be all set to create some awesome packaging!

Also just finished my backdrop to my Valentines Day Party set up! Coming soon!

Happy Birthday To Me!

So it was my birthday yesterday! I usually don't go all out for my own birthday but I felt like showing how I decorate for others birthdays, and made a table set up for myself! It was super fun and I accidentally selected my wedding colors and I love it! I used tons of streamers and glitter! It was a blast setting this up! I can't wait to do more!!!

My kitty cat loved the set up too! Stay away from my cupcakes!

Studio Sundays - Maci & Vin decoration time!

This week has been full of us starting up the business and designing to get our store up. But it did feel good taking this weekend to work on projects for our dear friends Maci & Vincent's wedding. We are super excited and it's only a few weeks away! Well today I made two things that I got tutorials from the amazing website Project Wedding. They were super cute, cheap, and easy to do!

I first made tiny tassels.  They say to use crepe paper, but I couldn't seem to find it at any of the craft stores around me, so I used tissue paper instead.  It worked fine it's just a little more delicate to work with. I got the amazing tutorial here.

I then made these cool flags made from fabric and then dipped in glue.  I suggest you try this one, it's simple and they are beautiful in the sunlight. Find the tutorial here.

Weddings, weddings, weddings!

So we have been part of three weddings this year so far.  One was unusual for us, this time we did the photography! We are only a step higher than amateurs but we made it happen and had a blast. It was for one of my oldest friends, Shelbi. She got happily married to her husband Josh in May.  It was a beautiful wedding and a beautiful dress. Here are a couple of our shots.

Something Nice Designs loves weddings! And we love our friends! So when are friends are getting married we are overjoyed and love to help.  Our good friends Vincent and Maci and getting married in October!  And we have been working on a lot of illustrations for them and loving it.
